Privacy and coaching boundaries

Your journal entries, check-in answers, reflections, and private session notes belong to your coaching space. They are not shown to parents or other students by default.

Before coaching begins, Coach Mauro explains the appropriate safety, legal, and minor-protection exceptions to confidentiality. If something raises a serious safety concern, or if disclosure is legally required, it may need to be shared.

For students under 18, the boundaries of parent or guardian communication are explained before the first session, so the student, parent, and coach all understand what stays private and what may need to be shared.

Enrollment and payment status, attendance, upcoming dates, broad development areas, and progress updates that the student and Coach Mauro agree to share.

Parents do not automatically see journals, check-in answers, reflections, or private session notes.

Every participant agrees to the group agreements:

• · Do not record sessions.
• · Do not take or share screenshots.
• · Do not repeat another participant's personal story.
• · Respect different backgrounds, goals, and experiences.
• · Share only what you are comfortable sharing.
• · Allow others time to speak.
• · Do not mock, shame, or personally attack another participant.

AFA establishes confidentiality expectations for group coaching, but cannot guarantee that another participant will honor them. Share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Account details, program enrollment, session scheduling data, coaching materials you create, attendance, and payment status. Access is restricted by role: students see their own data, parents see approved information for their linked student, and coaches see the students assigned to them.

Coaching is not therapy, tutoring, or medical or mental-health care. If something falls outside coaching, Coach Mauro will say so directly and help you consider appropriate support.
